School Rules

School Uniform Regulations

  • Uniform cannot be above knee level.
  • Students are not permitted to attend tuition classes or any other venue in their school uniform.
  • Students may not be attired in a t-shirt bearing the College crest except when attending school after school hours or for events where they are representing the school.
  • Hair must be in two plaits, tied with a white ribbon. A single plait in a ponytail may be worn for school functions and events with permission from the teacher-in-charge.
  • Shoes must be black and a white pair of socks specific to the school must be worn. The school tie and socks are available at the school office for purchase. The white uniform must have a blue buckle with the belt, which is also available at the office.
  • Students attending sports practices must be attired modestly. Shorts, if worn, have to be of reasonable length.
  • Pottu cannot be worn while in school uniform.
  • No mehendi, nail polish, eyebrow shaping, rings, nose rings, long earrings, anklet, smartwatch, or colored watch are permitted under any circumstance.
  • Boys are not permitted to wear earrings to school.
  • Students Grade 6 upwards are not permitted to wear colored attire on their birthdays - they shall be in school uniform as on other days.

Attendance Regulations

  • Students are expected to attend school every day that the school is in session.
  • Absence, even for one day, must be explained with a letter of excuse brought on the day the student returns back to school. Absence of more than two days requires a medical certificate along with the letter of excuse.
  • Permission will not be granted for long-term absence.
  • If traveling overseas, prior permission needs to be obtained from the principal.
  • All students must be punctual to the school.

Discipline Regulations

  • Students may not bring mobile phones into school premises. They are free to make calls from the office if necessary.
  • Students are expected to respect all the staff members of the school, including support staff.
  • Day scholars are not permitted to enter hostel dormitories under any circumstance.
  • Narcotics, alcohol, and any other intoxicating material cannot be brought into the school premises.
  • Students cannot bring cake to celebrate their birthday or a teacher’s birthday.
  • Students are not allowed to give gifts to teachers except a card or a flower.
  • Chewing gum inside the school premises is forbidden.
  • Students are expected to cooperate in keeping the school environment clean by not littering.
  • No tipex can be brought inside the premises.
